Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic launched in India exclusively on Flipkart

Samsung today announced the launch of the Samsung Gear S2, a sleek and smart wearable watch. It boasts of a smart circular design with a customized UI.

The smartwatch is easily customizable, thanks to a number of dial faces and straps. Any standard 20 mm strap will serve the purpose. 

The device is introduced in two different options, the Gear S2 and the Gear S2 Classic. The latter is made for those who prefer a more timeless design, offering an elegant Black finish with a matching genuine leather band. On the other hand, the former version is ideal for those who are on-the-go and have an admiration for minimal and modern design.

The watch can remotely control music apps on the smartphone for a hands-free listening experience.

The watch possesses a durable stainless steel body. It is extremely light and compact. It is equipped with a 1.2 inch 302 ppi Super AMOLED display, and offers a vibrant viewing experience both indoors and outdoors. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass.

The device runs on Tizen OS and a 1 GHz dual-core processor. It is compatible with all Android devices (Kitkat version) with minimum RAM of 1.5 GB.

The watch is equipped with a 250 mAh battery. It also comes with Ultra Power Saving mode, same as the one seen on their smartphones.

The Gear S2 will be available in a Dark Grey and Silver case with a sporty band. The Gear S2 Classic will be available in a Black case with a leather band. A variety of band options are also available with both the Gear S2 (Mendini, Warm Grey and Red) and the Gear S2 Classic (Grey leather and Brown leather).

The devices are available at a price of ₹24,300 ($360 approx.) for the Gear S2 and ₹25,800 ($380 approx.) for the Gear S2 Classic.
