After releasing Elite 2, the successor device in the Elite series, Swipe has yesterday launched a new device under a new series, the Swipe Virtue. In terms of specifications, the device features an IPS display, powered by 1.3 GHz MT6582 MediaTek quad-core processor with 2 GB RAM. It comes with 5-inch screen. The internal storage is 16 GB, and is expandable up to 32 GB. It runs on Android 5.1, and packs 2,500 mAh lithium-ion battery.
The smartphone features an IPS display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. It has three capacitive buttons for Menu, Home and Back. All of these buttons are placed just below the display. Additionally, there is a 5 MP front-facing camera lens located above the display to the right of the earpiece, just opposite to the side where buttons are located. The earpiece is located in the center, on the top. In between the earpiece and the camera is the proximity sensor.
The smartphone's hardware includes 1.3 GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory (expandable up to 32 GB), a 8 MP rear camera with LED flash located to the right of the camera lens. On the rear, the Swipe branding is present in the middle, while the Elite branding is present on the bottom. Below the branding label is the speaker grille. The device has a removable back, and a removable battery.
The right side of the device features the power key and the volume rocker key. The device supports dual SIM, which can be inserted by opening the back cover. Additionally, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The 3.5 mm headset jack is at the top left, while the micro USB port is just next to it.
The primary microphone is present at the bottom right.
The left side of the device is kept clean.
With a weight of just 172 grams, the device is heavy to hold and carry. But a price of just ₹5,999 ($90 approx.) makes it a good buy.
The box contains the smartphone, along with a travel adaptor, a data cable, a user manual, a warranty card, a transparent silicon back cover, and a pair of earphones. But we are being told that the retail unit will not come with the cover and the earphones. It is being sold via Snapdeal.
