Gionee S6 with VoLTE and 13 MP camera launched in India for ₹19,999

Gionee has today launched its first VoLTE enabled smartphone, the S6, in India. Note that it was first launched in China in November last year. The device focuses on performance and user experience more than just ultra slim design. VoLTE helps connect calls up to twice as fast and makes video calling a sheer delight.

Crafted from metal, the device blends elegant design with power packed features. The smartphone comes with 89% metal body with a shine cutting of 1.5 mm. It comes with a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3, and a screen-to-body ratio of 77.8%.

Powered with Amigo 3.1 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and MediaTek MT6753 1.3 GHz 64-bit octa-core processor, the device is equipped with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage (expandable up to 128 GB).

The device is equipped with a reversible USB Type-C, and is powered by 3,150 mAh battery in a slimmer body.

The smartphone comes with a 13 MP rear camera with PDAF, alongside a 5 MP front camera.

The smartphone comes in Gold, Silver and Rose Gold color options. In the online space, it is available on Flipkart. It will also be available offline. It is priced at ₹19,999 ($295 approx.).
