The smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, and pixel density of 294 pixels-per-inch.

Samsung Galaxy J3 features an 8 MP rear camera with an f2.2 aperture. It also features a 5 MP front camera with LED flash.

The smartphone is equipped with a Spreadtrum SC7731 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, and 1.5 GB RAM. The device offers 8 or 16 GB internal memory (expandable up to 128 GB), and is packed with a 2,600 mAh battery. It runs on TouchWiz UI, based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and supports dual SIM LTE.

The USP of this device is the special mode for bikers. When the S Bike mode is on, the caller will be automatically alerted that the user is currently riding a bike and is unable to pick up the call. Only in case of emergency will the rider be notified. For security purposes, the ride is needed to be brought to halt before picking up the call. The NFC tag available with the device needs to be tapped in order to turn the mode on/off.

Samsung Galaxy J3 is priced at ₹8,990 ($135 approx.). It comes in three color options. viz. gold, black and white. The device is already available exclusively on Snapdeal.
