Microsoft Lumia 950 XL launched in India for ₹49,399

Microsoft today launched the Lumia 950 XL in India. It is one of the first Lumia smartphones to come pre-loaded with Windows 10. Note that this device was first announced last month. Another flagship device, the Lumia 950 has also been launched. It includes features like Cortana, Windows Hello beta, and Continuum for phones (these features are explained here).

The smartphone features a 5.7-inch quad HD AMOLED display featuring 518 ppi.

Microsoft's PureView technology is built into the camera, boasting a 20 MP sensor and triple LED natural flash. The sensor is capable of shooting 4K video. The photos can be automatically synced across all Windows 10 devices with the Windows Photo app. It also comes with 5 MP wide angle front camera.


The smartphone boasts of 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.

Starting today, the device will be available for pre-booking at Microsoft Priority Resellers, Amazon, and retail chains of Croma, Reliance and Sangeetha at a best buy price of 49,399 ($745 approx.). Consumers will get Microsoft Display Dock free as a limited period offer, which is otherwise priced at ₹5,999 ($90 approx.).
