Intex has today launched the Aqua G2 in India. The target audience is the first time smartphone buyers, so that they can easily move to a smartphone from a feature phone. But we are not sure how correct it is to call Aqua G2 a smartphone!

Intex Aqua G2

In a country where 4G is the buzzword, and 3G is now mainstream, this device supports only 2G. So much for a budget smartphone? The Aqua G2 comes with a 2.8-inch QVGA TFT display. It is powered by 256 MB RAM and a single-core 32-bit processor. It runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2.

The device supports dual SIM, and has a battery of 1,100 mAh capacity. Intex Aqua G2 features a 0.3 MP primary camera with flash, and a secondary camera with the same megapixels.

Aqua G2 comes with 512 MB internal memory, which is expandable up to 32 GB. To add to that, Aqua G2 has pre-loaded bloatware, including Opera Mini.

The Intex Aqua G2 is available in grey and champagne color options. It is priced at ₹1,990 ($30 approx.).
