LeEco Le 2 was launched in India earlier this month. Another smartphone, the LeEco Le Max 2, was also launched along with. We have with us the Rose Gold color variant. Concerning specifications, this smartphone features a full HD display, powered by 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. It comes with a 5.5-inch screen, and 3 GB RAM. The internal storage is 32 GB storage, which is non-expandable. It runs on EUI OS, which is based on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, and packs a 3,000 mAh battery.

The smartphone features a display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It has three capacitive buttons for Menu, Home, and Back. All these buttons are located below the screen. All the three buttons are back-lit. Additionally, there is an 8 MP front facing camera lens located above the display, to the right of the earpiece grille, which is itself in the center. The proximity sensor is located to the left of the earpiece. The notification indicator LED is to the left of the sensor.

The smartphone's hardware includes 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, and a 16 MP rear camera with dual LED flash located beside the camera lens. Above the camera lens lies the secondary noise-cancellation microphone. Below the camera is the fingerprint sensor. It is square in shape, but with rounded corners. Below the fingerprint module is the LeTV branding. This is strange because the company is renamed to LeEco.

LeEco Le 2 left and right

The right side of the device features the volume rocker key (located on the top) and the power key (located below it). The SIM tray is found on the left side of the device. There are two nano SIM slots; only one slot supports 4G LTE at any instance in time.

LeEco Le 2 bottom and top

The infrared blaster is on the top left. The USB Type-C port is at the bottom center. The speaker grille and primary microphone are placed on either side.

There is no 3.5 mm headset jack on the smartphone. The new CDLA headphones by LeEco use the USB Type-C port to connect to the device. Removal of headphone jack has resulted in a reduction in thickness of the device (it is just 7.5 mm).

LeEco Le 2 features a metal unibody design, i.e., the rear panel is non-removable. It is slightly textured with dark color band on the top and the bottom. These bands continue on either side of the device as well.

The device has rounded corners. The chamfered edges make it easier to hold. When the display is turned off, the thin bezels on the left and right disappear into the dark.
