Lenovo is all set to launch another entry-level smartphone, the Lenovo Vibe K5, in India on 13th of this month. Note that it was first announced at the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona earlier this year. Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, which was also announced at the MWC, has already launched in India in March.
Since the device is already launched in other markets, the specifications are all known. It features an aluminum body with curved corners. It runs on Vibe UI, which was based on Android Lollipop back in February, but we can expect it to run on Marshmallow now. The battery capacity of the device is 2,750 mAh.
The device is powered by 2 GB RAM and 1.4 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. The inbuilt storage is 16 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB via a microSD card. It supports 4G LTE, along with the usual connectivity features like WiFi and Bluetooth. It is a dual SIM (both micro) smartphone.
Lenovo Vibe K5 comes with a 5-inch HD display, with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels.
The smartphone features a 13 MP primary camera. The secondary camera is a 5 MP shooter.
As is clear from the picture, the smartphone comes in gold, gray and silver color options. Since the Vibe K5 Plus was priced at ₹8,499, the Vibe K5 is expected to cost somewhere around ₹6,999. However, at this price, it will be tough for it to compete against the likes of Swipe Elite Plus which offers a full HD display.
