The smartphone runs on Android Lollipop. The battery capacity of the device is 4,000 mAh, which is justified given the larger screen size.

The device is powered by 1.5 GB RAM and 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. The inbuilt storage is 8 GB, which is expandable up to 200 GB via a microSD card. It supports 4G LTE and VoLTE, along with the usual connectivity features like WiFi and Bluetooth. It is a dual SIM (both nano) smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy J Max comes with a 7.0-inch HD WXVGA TFT LCD, with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. Such a mammoth screen size is seen on tablets. We are still wondering what were the officials at Samsung thinking when they decided to go ahead with it! The proprietary S-Bike and Ultra Data Saving mode are available.

The smartphone features a 8 MP rear camera. The secondary camera is a 2 MP shooter.

Samsung Galaxy J Max comes in black and gold color options. It is priced at ₹13,400 ($200 approx.). It will be available by the end of this month both online as well as offline.
