Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus with 2 GB RAM and a removable battery launched in India for ₹8,499

Lenovo has today unveiled its latest entry-level smartphone, the Vibe K5 Plus, in India at an event held in New Delhi. Note that it was first announced at the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona last month.

The device comes with a 5-inch FHD IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, and pixel density of 441 pixels-per-inch. It features 2 GB RAM and is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 64-bit 616 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz, coupled with Adreno 405 GPU.

The smartphone comes with a stylish tapered metal body. It also boasts of the proprietary TheaterMax technology, and features Dolby Atmos sound.

The device offers 16 GB internal memory (expandable up to 128 GB), and is packed with a 2,750 mAh removable battery. It runs on Vibe UI, based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and supports dual SIM LTE.

The smartphone features a 13 MP primary camera. The secondary camera is a 5 MP fixed-focus shooter.

The smartphone is available in three color options, viz. gold, silver, and gray. It will be available via an open sale exclusively on Flipkart starting 23rd of this month. It is priced at ₹8,499 ($125 approx.).
