Gionee Pioneer P5W with candy colors launched in India for ₹6,499

Gionee has today launched its latest budget smartphone, the Pioneer P5W, in India. Note that this device was announced in December last year.

The device comes with 5 MP rear camera with LED flash, along with a 2 MP front facing camera. Additionally the camera offers Beautification, various filters and Mood cards.

The smartphone comes with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, and an in-built 16 GB memory (which is expandable up to 128 GB). It is powered by 1 GB RAM. The device runs on Amigo OS 3.1, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop . It supports dual sim 3G.

The smartphone supports USB OTG. It features a 5-inch HD IPS display, with 1280x720 pixels resolution.

The device is backed by a 2,000 mAh battery. The device also comes with a new customized lock feature, the AMI lock. Face unlocking is also supported.

The device is available in exciting color options like white, black, blue, red and yellow. It is priced at ₹6,499 ($95 approx.).
