"With its activity tracking features, additional workout support including timed activities, and smart notifications Vivosmart is like having a personal coach and assistant right on your wrist,"

said Tony An, Garmin Asia Sales Director.

"It challenges and motivates users to stay active and create lifelong healthy habits, while keeping them connected to family, friends, work, and more. We have partnered with Snapdeal to reach out to a wide range of customers in India, as an extension of our commitment to embrace the lifestyles across the globe."

Commenting on this partnership, Amit Maheshwari, Vice President – Fashion, Snapdeal.com said,

"People in India are becoming increasingly health conscious today with a direct impact on fitness & slimming market which is growing at almost 30% CAGR. At Snapdeal.com, we have seen a huge surge in demand for sports & fitness products with the category growing at 20% month-on-month aiming to get to 900 Cr by the end of this year. Snapdeal & Garmin has partnered to launch "Vivosmart" in India, a fitness band best in its league with features of a smart watch. We are confident to see an over whelming response from our 40 million+ users, encouraging them towards a healthier lifestyle."

Sleek and comfortable, it features a lightweight curved band with a 5 ATM water rating and battery life of up to seven days so you rarely have to take it off. The band's seamless surface remains discreet on users' wrists with a hidden OLED display that comes to life to show incoming notifications. Users can also activate the display by double tapping the screen and swiping through the display pages to see the time and date, steps taken, distance, calories, step countdown to a personalized daily goal, move bar, messages received and more. The Move Bar features five segments that begin to fill in after one hour of inactivity, and a timer that lets users know their inactivity. As the segments fill in, the device vibrates and displays the move bar alert, encouraging users to stay consistently active throughout the day. Walking around for a few minutes will reset the move bar.

Users can capture more of their active lifestyles by using the timed activity feature to track a workout. You can also pair it with a heart rate monitor or bike speed sensor, or use it as a remote for a Garmin Virb or Virb Elite action camera.

Move more and miss less with it's vibration alerts displaying notifications of incoming text, email, call, calendar reminders and more when in range of a paired Bluetooth-smart device. With a gentle vibration, it will display an icon indicating the type of notification and a preview of the message. To read more, simply touch and swipe the screen. Users can also set the built-in alarm clock to have it vibrate and silently alert them it's time to start their day – without disturbing others.

While in the app, users can link their account with a MyFitnessPal account to easily view an accurate count of calories burned and consumed, and see their net count for the remainder of the day based on calorie goals set in MyFitnessPal – giving them a complete picture of their daily activity and nutrition.

It will be exclusively available with Snapdeal.com at a price of Rs. 12,990 and offered price of Rs. 10,990 in berry, purple, blue, black, and slate in a small or large band size.
