Microsoft today launched the Lumia 950 in India. It is one of the first Lumia smartphones to come pre-loaded with Windows 10. Note that this device was first announced last month. Another bigger device, the Lumia 950 XL has also been launched. It includes features like Cortana, Windows Hello, and Continuum for phones (more on these later).
The smartphone features a 5.2-inch quad HD AMOLED display featuring 564 ppi.
PureView technology is built into the camera, boasting a 20 MP sensor and triple LED natural flash. The sensor can shoot 4K video. The photos can be automatically synced across all Windows 10 devices with the Windows Photo app. The device comes with 5 MP wide angle front camera.
The smartphone runs on 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor.
Starting today, the smartphone will be available for pre-booking at Microsoft Priority Resellers, Amazon, and retail chains of Croma, Reliance and Sangeetha at a best buy price of ₹43,699 ($655 approx.). Consumers will get Microsoft Display Dock free as a limited period offer, which is otherwise priced at ₹5,999 ($90 approx.).

Cortana is the Siri-like virtual assistant from Microsoft.
Windows Hello was first introduced in Surface Pro 4. The user needs to look into the secondary camera, and it will log him/her into the device. No more hassles to remember passwords or those nasty patterns!

The device features Continuum for phones, enhanced by the optional Microsoft Display Dock accessory. This feature allows people to use their phone like a PC by connecting it to a monitor and transforming it for larger-screen entertainment, or adding a keyboard and mouse to work like a PC with Windows 10 apps like Microsoft Office, while simultaneously taking calls or performing other tasks.
