Most Googled devices in 2015

Like every year, Google has followed the custom and released a list of most searched devices over the year. As expected, Apple's latest iPhone offering has topped the list. The new iPad and its Microsoft competitor have also made the cut. Both Apple and Samsung have three of their products in the top ten. Find the complete list below, in order of decreasing number of searches.

Apple iPhone 6S

Apple iPhone 6S

iPhone 6S is, without doubt, the most searched consumer durable on Google. The aura of the brand along with its tech innovations is enough to make people talk about its products. iPhone has always been seen as a benchmark for all the other smartphone manufacturers across the world. The 3D touch capability produced a lot of buzz for this product.

Samsung Galaxy S6

Samsung Galaxy S6

The Korean manufacturer first announced Galaxy S6 in March during the Mobile World Congress. It was launched in India later during the same month. It is the latest offering in the famous Galaxy series, which is enough for it to make buzz across the world. Note that another device, Galaxy S6 Edge, was also launched alongwith, but it couldn't make its presence felt.

Apple Watch

Apple Watch

Watch is one of the various tech wearables available in the market. With all the major giants producing at least one of those, how could the Cupertino based OEM not enter this field. Result was the Apple Watch. Even though the price of this product is too high when compared to its competitor counterparts, a handsome number of devices were sold. After all, it's Apple, right?

Apple iPad Pro

Apple iPad Pro

The latest addition to the iPads this year was the iPad Pro. The strange (or not?) thing is that this device runs on iOS platform, and not on Mac OS. However, it is from Cupertino, and is capable enough to garner enough search requests (if you know what we mean!).

LG G4

LG G4

This is the latest addition to the famous G series of smartphones by LG. The leather case is the USP of LG G4. With a ground-breaking camera module and a cutting-edge design, this smartphone deserves to be in this list.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

The latest entry to the Note series was launched in India in September this year. Featuring 4 gigs of RAM along with 5.7 inch QHD Super AMOLED display with 2560x1440 pixels resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a beast in its range. No doubt it is featured in the top ten.

Samsung Galaxy J5

Samsung Galaxy J5

The 4G enabled Galaxy J5 was announced in India in July 2015. It is the third Samsung device to feature in this list. It was the selfie phone by Samsung, a response to the Chinese competitors. However, the companion device, Galaxy J7, did not create equivalent buzz.

HTC One M9

HTC One M9

The design of this device is pretty much the same as that of its predecessor, the One M8 (it was one of the best smartphones launched last year). It was released in March this year. With major upgrades in the RAM and camera modules, but the same aluminium-based body, the HTC One M9 somehow appeared on this list!

Huawei Nexus 6P

Huawei Nexus 6P

This is the latest Nexus Model by Google in association with Chinese manufacturer Huawei. It was first announced in September this year, and then released in India almost a month later. Nexus 6P was the first Nexus device ever developed by a Chinese brand. Another Nexus device, LG Nexus 5X, was also launched. Read our comparison of the two devices.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4

Microsoft Surface Pro 4

This is Microsoft's response to Apple's iPad Pro. Surface Pro 4 was launched in October this year. Running on Windows 10 and Intel Skylake processors, this device is one hell of a beast. Windows Hello, Gorilla Glass protection, fingerprint scanner, hybrid cooling and Surface Pen were enough to make sure this device makes its cut.

Do you agree with Google, or you think there's something else which should have made to this list?
