Gionee announced the launch of its latest smartphone, the Marathon M5 Lite. It is a li(gh)ter version of its big brother, the Marathon M5, which was first announced in June last year, and later launched in India in November.
The smartphone boasts of an 8 MP rear camera, and 5 MP front camera. It has a 5 inch HD IPS display with Asahi Dragontrail glass protection, an internal memory capacity of 32 GB (expandable up to 128 GB) and 3 GB RAM.
The smartphone runs on the Amigo OS 3.1, based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It supports dual SIM LTE.
The device has an ultra-slim structure of dimensions 8.5 mm thick, and outer rim of 4.75 mm, metallic unibody, narrow bezel and premium finishing that adds to its style quotient.
The device will be available at all the leading retail outlets and on Snapdeal. Powered by 4,000 mAh lithium-polymer battery, the device claims to have a standby time of 450 hours, and a 32.7 hours of talk time at an affordable price of ₹12,999 ($195 approx.).
