[Phablet] Swipe Konnect 5.0 with OmniVision sensors launched

Armed with Rs 30 crore funding, mobile technology company Swipe has introduced a new series in smartphone phablets – The Swipe Konnect series. The first smartphone phablet in Swipe's Konnect series is the fashionable Swipe Konnect 5.0 phablet. Swipe's new Konnect series focuses on delivering great value by offering exciting features at an extremely competitive price of Rs. 8,999/-.

Under the Konnect Series, Swipe will rollout 10 innovative offerings in the smartphone phablet space within a quarter.

Featuring a rich connectivity suite, the Swipe Konnect 5.0 comes encased in a super slim body with a stylish matte finish. The Konnect 5.0 is ergonomically designed to fit into the contours of users' hands, and at 135 grams is one of the lightest 5" smartphone phablets in the world.

The Konnect 5.0 has a 5" qHD IPS display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor that can multitask effortlessly, and a 1 GB RAM enables smooth performance of the Android 4.2.2 Jellybean OS on the device which is upgradable to the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat.

The Swipe Konnect 5.0 is equipped with an 8 MP rear camera, and it also comes with a 3.2 MP front camera for 3G video calling. The rear camera has an OV (OmniVision) sensor which significantly improves the camera's resolution and picture quality. This smartphone phablet comes with 8 GB inbuilt memory, which can be expanded up to 32 GB via an external SD card.

The Konnect 5.0 has a highly customizable UI which can be personalized with multiple effects, themes and transitions.

The Konnect 5.0 has unrestricted access to the Google Play Store, so users can download from over one million apps. The phone also comes with a 1950 mAh polymer-ion battery to ensure that the device is powered for a longer period of time.

The Konnect 5.0 is dual SIM enabled, for professional as well as personal usage. This smartphone phablet also comes with comprehensive connectivity features including WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth.
