This product is currently looking for funds on Kickstarter, and has already achieved a little more than one-fifth of its goal at the time of writing.

PolarPro PowerGrip H2O

PowerGrip H2O, from the house of PolarPro, is a waterproof selfie stick with an integrated 6,700 mAh battery which claims to increase the film time to half a day, or fully charge the camera half a dozen times. It can work at depths of up to 30 m, and is compatible with GoPro Hero4, GoPro Hero3+ and GoPro Hero3 cameras.

The device features dual USB ports, and can hence charge two devices simultaneously. And it can be itself charged via the micro USB port, similar to the one found on smartphones.

The selfie stick can extend up to 33 inches, thus allowing one to take great wide-angle shots. The two (11 inches each) extension arms are fold-able, making the device portable. The weight of the gadget is 255 g. The extension arms weigh 57 g each.

The device can also be used with a smartphone, thanks to the smartphone mount included with the grip of the device. So step out in rain or snow and shoot stuff with your smartphone, but make sure your phone is also water resistant before trying so!

There is also a tripod, in case you are a fan of long time lapse images. And if you are shooting in low-light and might need a flash, a waterproof LED Kit is also provided. It is a group of 6 LEDs, and provides 500 lumens of illumination.

How does it work?

The device comes with a waterproof replacement door, which is part of the Underwater Live Charge Kit. This door covers the USB sockets and connects to a waterproof backdoor for a GoPro and its rear charging port.

$69 is the limited edition price of the device. You can still buy it for $79 once the limited edition stock is over. $99 will fetch you the device along with the LED Kit, or the Live Charge Kit. A combo of Live Charge Kit, LED Kit, StrapMount and a travel case can be ordered for $149.

The campaign runs till October 10, 2015. And if the required funding is met, you might get your hands on the device by November.
