[Smartphone] OnePlus X rumored to launch sometime this month

After getting an overwhelming response for OnePlus 2 (hands on), the Chinese OEM is all set to release it's next smartphone before October ends. If this happens, it will be a new strategy by the brand, since they are known to release only one device in a calendar year.

If rumors are to be believed, OnePlus X is expected to be equipped with a 5-inch display. It is also believed to boast of dual rear cameras, featuring dual LED flash.

The device is also rumored to feature a fingerprint authentication sensor, this time at the rear. Note that the OnePlus 2 also featured a fingerprint sensor, but it was integrated in the Home button placed below the display.

USB Type-C port is placed at the bottom of the device in the center. Speaker grills are located on either side.

All this leads us to believe that the company is working on a new design, which we expect to see in their next device.

The smartphone is said to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset.

It is rumored to be priced at $249.

No other specifications are known as of now, but we hope to know more in the days to come. After all, the device may launch in October this year!
