After the huge success of Redmi Note 4G, Xiaomi has launched another smartphone with impressive specifications. The Xiaomi Mi4 was announced earlier this year on the 29th of January. In terms of specifications, the device features an IPS display, powered by 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with a 3 GB RAM. It comes with a 5-inch screen. The internal storage is 16 GB. A 64 GB variant is also expected to arrive in the market by the end of February. It runs on Android 4.4 with Xiaomi's skin, the MIUI, and packs 3,000 mAh lithium-ion polymer battery.

The smartphone features an IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It has three capacitive buttons for Menu, Home and Back. All of these buttons are placed just below the display. Additionally, there is a 8 MP front-facing camera lens located above the display on the right hand side, just opposite to the side where buttons are located. On the left hand side is the Mi branding. Just next to it is the slit for the proximity sensor.

The smartphone has high-end hardware that includes 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB RAM, 16 GB internal flash memory (non-expandable), a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash located just beneath the camera lens. The right side of the device features the power key and the volume rocker key. The 3.5 mm headset jack is at the top left. The infrared remote control is at the top right. The micro USB port is at the bottom left, and the speakers are located at the bottom right. The smartphone supports a single micro SIM, which can be inserted using the pin attached to the user guide. The smartphone has a non-removable back, and the micro SIM slot can be found on the left side of the device.

Coming in at 149 g and 8.9 mm depth, the phone feels outstanding in the hand with its curved edges. It sure appears to be an iPhone rip-off in terms of looks. Almost everyone I met was surprised thinking that I bought an Apple device!

The box contains the smartphone with its display covered, along with a travel adaptor, a data cable, a user manual (with a pin attached) and a warranty card. There are no headphones in the box. The printed price on the box is Rs. 19,999. It is being sold via Flipkart at the same price.
