Samsung today announced the launch of Samsung Z3, a Tizen based smartphone, reaffirming its commitment to strengthen the Tizen device portfolio and ecosystem in India. The device is designed and manufactured in India. It promises to deliver a superior and differentiated smartphone experience. Note that the same was rumored back in July this year, though the rumored specifications do not match the original.
The smartphone incorporates features such as Ultra Data Saving mode, which offers up to 40% mobile data savings and up to 50% longer standby time. It is coupled with Ultra Power Saving mode, which allows users to operate on standby for over a day even with less than 10 percent of battery remaining. The device runs on 2,600 mAh battery.
The device comes pre-loaded with a new platform, My Galaxy, which would extend personalized exclusive deals and offers to consumers.
The device features 5-inch HD screen, powered with Super AMOLED technology which delivers 40% more color and 100 times better contrast ratio versus normal TFT LCDs for true-to-life images. The device is also equipped with an 8 MP rear camera with a f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. Further, the 5 MP front-facing camera offers advanced selfie capabilities, which is complemented by various photography modes ranging from Automatic Selfie mode with facial recognition, Beauty Face mode that automatically retouches images for flawless skin, to Wide Selfie mode to capture up to 120 degrees angle for that perfect group selfie shot.
Certain features like My Galaxy, Mix Radio, Ultra Data and Power Saving modes, Special Days UX and Enhanced Messaging are developed in the Indian R&D center.
Just 7.9 mm slim, the smartphone is sleek and stylish. It is available in three color variants, viz. Gold, Black and Silver. Its polished and premium design makes it extremely fashionable.
The device will be available across all retail channels from the coming week at a price of ₹8,490 ($130 approx.). In the online space, it'll be available exclusively on Snapdeal.
