[Smartphone] Samsung Galaxy A8 brochure spotted in South Korea

Rumored to be the thinnest smartphone Samsung has ever developed, the Samsung Galaxy A8 appears online with its technical specifications, images and a hands-on video. The Chinese telecommunications regulatory agency, commonly known as TENAA is credited to release this video. Not sure how Samsung would react to it, but we have a lot of interesting information to share. In other news, there are rumors for Samsung Z3 to be the next Tizen-powered device.


Samsung Galaxy A8 front

The device is rumored to be equipped with a 5.7 inch FHD Super AMOLED display (with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels). It is also believed to boast of a 16 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera.

A home button with a fingerprint authentication sensor is said to be used, and the device is powered by a 3,050 mAh battery.

The smartphone is said to sport a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S615 chipset clocked at 1.7 GHz, backed by 2 GB RAM. It is also rumored to offer 32 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot which can expand the storage up to 128 GB.

It is expected to run the latest Android Lollipop version 5.1.1. It is also expected to be just 5.9 mm thick, thus making it the thinnest device ever made by this Korean multinational.
