Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 launched in India

Samsung today announced the launch of two new 4G enabled smartphones in the J Series - Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7, making 4G experience more accessible and enjoyable for Indian consumers.

Both these devices are optimized for a superior 4G experience, with speeds up to 150 Mbps. Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 also feature 5-inch and 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED displays respectively, and the proprietary Sound Alive technology that provide a holistic and immersive entertainment experience. In addition, these new smart phones include popular features exclusive to the Galaxy series of devices, such as Ultra-Power Saving Mode, Easy Mode and usage in 14 regional languages.

The company has partnered with Gameloft, a leading publisher of games for mobile, to provide an exclusive offer for mobile gaming enthusiasts. Users of these devices will get free in-game credits of up to ₹3,200 for prominent titles like Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat 5 among others. With 4G network capabilities, gamers will also be able to enjoy a better multiplayer experience on their smartphones. Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 are powered with 64-bit quad-core and octa-core processors respectively, along with 1.5 GB of RAM.

Samsung has also partnered with Airtel to provide an introductory offer for 4G users which will include double data offer. Customers will also get unlimited music download worth ₹594 through Wynk Music app for a period of 6 months.

With a slim design, the Galaxy J5 measures up to 7.9 mm, whereas the Galaxy J7 measures a discreet 7.5 mm. Both models come with anti-smudge anodized CMF coating, which gives the devices a premium and stylish feel. The models will be available in white and black color options.

Tipped to be the selfie phones, the two devices have redefined the selfie experience for consumers with a powerful 5 MP front camera coupled with a front facing flash for great selfies in any lighting condition. The smartphones are also equipped with a 13 MP auto-focus primary camera.

Both these smartphones will be exclusively available on Flipkart. Galaxy J5 will be priced at ₹11,999 ($185 approx.) and Galaxy J7 will be priced at ₹14,999 ($235 approx.). Both models can be pre-booked starting today. Consumers can also opt for Samsung flip covers worth ₹999 at ₹199 only for a limited time period.
